A message from us to you. We have decided to take the plunge and invest in an ad-free site. All the databases are being
transferred over and hopefully this new address will be simpler to remember. If anybody has any databases that they would like to share with fellow researchers then please e-mail us and lets talk. If you are not familiar with our pages and this is your first visit with us on-line, the data on this site mainly concerns the past for those with ancestors in Nottinghamshire but we will be adding other counties as we
progress. Those who have been here before or to our old site will know where to look and what is included on the pages. For newcomers the data is as follows The largest dataset is from Pigots 1830 directory of Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, just think of these directories as the equivalent nowadays to telephone books. Hodsons 1814 directory for Nottingham. The 1754 Poll Book for Nottinghamshire, think of it as a record of those who were
eligible to vote for MPs for Parliament. Sherwood Foresters in the Boer War, this is a database of those who were wounded, died or were non-privates in the 1898-1901 Boer War.
We would be pleased to hear from you! Please let us know what you think of our new site and any recommendations you can think of to make it better. We will be more than happy to hear from you. On the subject of talk we are often to be found in the best Genealogy Chatroom online at
